Route 66, Cadillac Ranch
Try one of Miss Flo's pies. You'll come back for seconds.
Here I was traveling in the middle of nowhere in Arizona and all of a sudden there appears this mail box. There isn't a home or business in sight. So I couldn't help but wonder, who uses this thing? I got out of the car, photographed it and mailed my postcards home in it.
One of my favorites. The town looks right out of a 50's movie.
This photo always makes me smile. Can you imagine looking out your living room window and seeing that smiley face every day?

66 Motel Court on Route 66. It was getting late and we needed a place to crash.
This small theatre was in very sweet small town in South Dakota. It looked like it belonged on a movie set. See the speaker on the lamppost, it was playing a twangy tune. It was wonderful.
Definitely worth the trip.
Route 66's petrolia are classics. Some of them even have clean restrooms and a cold pop.
A good use for an old dish.
An american classic!
